No Cracked Pipes Here!

This has been quite a "modern car" week for us - we have 3 or 4 that we're working on just now.

There are a couple of DB9s, one of which has had accident damage and the other needs a service and MOT.

A 2015 V8 Vantage is in for a service and to have some gearbox pipes changed. When we serviced it, the pipes were showing a crack. For anyone who knows this stuff, if they were to start to leak, it definitely wouldn't be good! Anyway, we recommended to the owner that they should be fixed and we're sorting that out just now.

Blue Volante

Three years ago, this blue AM V8 from the 1970's had a new-build 5.7 litre engine and 6-speed gearbox put in to replace its 3-speed gearbox. It also had new paint work after which it returned to its home in Germany. It is now back in the workshop for an annual service and all the usual checks after which it will return home to be enjoyed for another year by its owner.

Blue Volante Under The Bonnet

At the other end of the timeline in the classic to modern story, There's a lovely DB2/4 in at the moment - it's a real Aston Martin classic on which we're just finalising some recommissioning work.

When we serviced it, the pipes were showing a crack. For anyone who knows this stuff, if they were to start to leak, it definitely wouldn't be good!
